Can the school or district, legally, impose any sort of sanction or penalty on the students who opt out?
No, the school or district has no legal grounds to penalize a student for their parents’ decision to “guide their child’s education” which is a parental right found in our Minnesota Constitution.
How do we opt-out?
Utilize our MACC Opt Out template form under Operation Opt-Out Minnesota. Hand deliver your opt out form to your child’s principal, teacher and testing director. It’s as easy as that!
